To detect print on an integrated circuit over a large area
A D12 Expert uses a rectangular fiber optic cable to check for the presence of print on a large integrated circuit.
Thirty-two strands of plastic fibers, each 0.25 mm in diameter are evenly spaced over a 10.85 mm area. The strands alternate between emitters and receivers. The D12 Expert is programmed to respond to the darkest light signal—the smallest amount of print showing.
