To sort tires by size and to detect deformed tires

Description

The closely spaced infrared beams of the EZ-ARRAY measuring light curtain determines the inner and outer diameters of the tire and sends the measurements to a PLC using a MODBUS RTU-485 protocol.

The PLC determines if a tire is one of two specified sizes, and directs it down the corresponding conveyor. If the tire is neither size, it is diverted to a reject bin.
