Overview
Active/Passive Switches provide a compact, non-contact, easy-to-install means of interlocking doors, guards, gates and covers.
- Offers choice of U-shaped active/passive interlock switches for use with PICO-GUARD controller in personnel safety and equipment-protection applications
- Provides compact, non-contact, easy-to-install interlocks switches for doors, guards, gates and covers
- Allows fiber to enter and exit from one side of the guard only—ideal for removable doors and panels
- Available in impact-resistant polycarbonate plastic, extreme-duty chemical-resistant stainless steel or heavy-duty impact-resistant zinc die-cast
- Offers choice of integral or cut-to-length plastic fiber, depending on model
- Allows use of multiple active/passive pairs per optical channel, depending on model and fiber length
- Eliminates electrical wires and expensive electrical wiring for easy installation
- Meets all requirements for Type 4 per IEC 61496-2 and Safety Category 4 per ISO 13849-1 applications
- Designed to ATEX, FM and CSA approval for use in explosive environments
- Rated IEC IP67
- Installs easily with center mounting configuration
- Offers optional attenuator for reducing excess gain in short-run applications
- Offers splices for easily connecting two fiber sections
