To confirm that a part is correctly seated in a machine and to start the machine using a low-force/no-force switch
When an operator places a part in a machine, the base of the VTB lights up to confirm that the part is seated correctly. The operator then places a finger in the touch area of the VTB to start the machine.
The VTB requires no pressure, reducing the risk of stress on the hand and arm.
