Counting Dropping Parts with an OMNI-BEAM
To reliably count small pieces of hardware that fall from a vibratory feeder into plastic bags
Description
Two fiber optics in opposed mode form a sensing plane through which parts fall. The ac-coupled circuitry of the OMNI-BEAM sensor head detects the slight change in light the falling parts cause. The sensor’s short one-shot pulse output is supplied to the input of the counting logic used in the process.
