To check for broken bottles on a conveyor
A pair of high-resolution A-GAGE MINI-ARRAY sensors is positioned on either side of a high-speed bottle conveyor to inspect for breakage. The sensor uses a visible beam, because an infrared beam would pass through the clear glass.
As a bottle passes through the beams, the controller sends two analog signals to a process controller to create an image of the bottle. If the bottle's image has an irregular outline, it means the bottle is broken, and the line rejects it.
