Loop Control for Tire Rubber

To control the speed of a rubber web using a loop control system

Description

The BEAM-ARRAY light screen detects a loop of rubber web from a roller. The analog output of the BEAM-ARRAY signals a frequency inverter that controls the speed of the uptake roller for the rubber web. It adjusts the speed of the uptake roller to keep the loop of rubber between the emitter and receiver array.

The sensor is exposed to a constant temperature of +40 degrees C. There is slight vibration in the application, and some powder from the rubber web is also present.
