To guard the entrance to a robotic work cell.
A MICRO-SCREEN safety light screen installed horizontally at the entrance to a robotic cell detects the presence of anyone who enters the cell. The MICRO-SCREEN controller stops the robot's hazardous motion either when it detects something in the horizontal sensing field or when an individual activates the integral E-stop.
The safety outputs of the safety light curtain can be interfaced with an emergency stop monitoring safety relay to provide a latch/reset function. By incorporating the relay, the system also allows for increased contact ratings, additional safety output contacts and PLC feedback outputs.
