To inspect cartons before they are sealed and shipped, to verify that they are fully packed

Description

Three U-GAGE Sonic OMNI-BEAM ultrasonic sensors mounted above a roller conveyor check cartons for empty cells. Each Sonic OMNI-BEAM sensor is adjusted to detect the bottom of the carton—when it detects the bottom, it knows the cell is missing a bottle.

A MINI-BEAM opposed mode sensor triggers the inspection when a carton is present.
