Welcome to Radio Basics, a prerequisite tutorial about the use of radio waves in wireless devices.

Radio refers to a type of signal transmitted and received in the radio frequency range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Radio can be used to send audio, video or data through air without the use of wires.

More recently, radio has been used in wireless networks to monitor remote industrial processes.
