Required Detection Area
Measure your detection area, in order to determine the length and range of the emitter and receiver.

The defined area should be high enough to prevent access by reaching over, under or around the hazard.

Be sure to have adequate excess gain available for reliable operation. The use of mirrors will reduce the available excess gain.
