Emergency Stops > E-Stop Rope Pull
Maintenance
Periodically, a qualified person should check and adjust rope-pull E-stop installations for proper rope tension.

After each shift change or machine setup, a designated person should test the rope pull e-stop installation for proper machine shutdown response.

Pulleys and other moving parts associated with the rope should be periodically cleaned and lubricated.

The rope-pull switch and rope assembly should be replaced at specified intervals, based on the environment and operating conditions. Replacement of the rope-pull should be considered after no more than 500,000 operations.
