DUO-TOUCH® Run Bar with STB Buttons easily interfaces with DUO-TOUCH SG Two-Hand Control Modules, SC22-3 Safety Controllers or other Type IIIC control systems to provide convenient, reliable actuation. The DUO-TOUCH Run Bar minimizes the possibility of defeat and accidental actuation, and its ergonomic design reduces hand, wrist and arm stresses associated with repeated switch operation. The Run Bar includes two preinstalled STB Touch Buttons, making set up and installation easy. The DUO-TOUCH Run Bar features robust, 13-gauge cold-rolled steel construction and a unique design for maximum ergonomics and safety for machine initiation. In addition, its diverse-redundant, self-checking, microcontroller-based photoelectric STB Buttons minimize the risk of defeat. The STB Buttons are also immune to ambient light, EMI and RFI interference, and they provide high excess gain to cut through heavy contamination. Plus, the STB Buttons feature bright status LEDs to indicate power, output and fault. For added convenience and installation flexibility, models with an integrated emergency stop button, along with a variety of accessory brackets and telescoping floor-mounted stands are available. List price for the DUO-TOUCH Run Bar with STB Buttons starts at $358.

WORLD-BEAM® Q20 Sensors are the newest addition to Banner’s WORLD-BEAM® family of cost-effective, rugged and powerful photoelectric sensors. The Q20 delivers a host of sensing modes in a durable, IP67-sealed housing with industry-standard 25.4 mm mounting. With a water-tight, small rectangular housing and exceptional optical range, the Q20 provides high-performance, reliable sensing in a space-saving package. The Q20 also features an advanced ASIC design for excellent crosstalk avoidance and exceptional EMI/RFI noise immunity to ensure reliable performance in demanding applications. The Q20 is available in a wide array of sensing models and modes, including opposed (10 and 15 m), polarized (4 m) and non-polarized (6 m) retroreflective, and diffuse (250, 800 and 1500 mm) models. Sensors feature a visible red sensing beam for easy alignment or an infrared sensing beam, depending on model. All models feature bright LED indicators for 360° visibility of operating status. The sensor’s strong, over-molded plastic housing provides a washdown rating of up to 1200 psi. List price for a Q20 emitter/receiver pair is $95; all other Q20 models are priced at $70.

On-Axis Lights provide optimal illumination of an inspected part by delivering collimated illumination in the same optical path as camera. These lights provide even, diffused illumination of flat, reflective surfaces perpendicular to the camera. On-axis lights are available in standard sizes of 100 x 100 mm or 50 x 50 mm and a variety of specialty sizes. Models are available with infrared or visible red, green, white or blue LEDs, and all models offer continuous or strobed operation through a dedicated input line. In addition, on-axis lights are available with glass dust covers for protection in dirty, dusty plant environments. List price starts at $695 for a 50 mm and $995 for a 100 mm light. “On-axis lights are placed between the vision sensor and the inspected part, and a beam splitter is used to direct light rays along the same axis as the camera lens, illuminating reflective surfaces of a target object which are perpendicular to the camera,” said Dan Holste, director for Banner vision sensors. “Surfaces at an angle to the camera and non-reflective surfaces appear dark.” Holste adds, “With this sophisticated design, on-axis lights provide a unique approach to lighting reflective surfaces otherwise difficult to illuminate.”
