Vibration Monitoring for Predictive Maintenance
Banner’s wireless vibration and temperature sensor measures RMS velocity, in inches per second or millimeters per second, and temperature. Mounting it as close as possible to the bearings enables you to monitor the machine’s health by detecting increases in vibration and temperature. It is easy to mount using the standard bracket, the magnetic bracket or two sided thermal transfer mounting tape. The robust zinc alloy housing is IP67 rated and suitable for demanding environments. The sensor is designed to work with 1-wire serial interface nodes such as the Q45, the P6 Performance node or the H6 MultiHop. Vibration thresholds, based on the ISO 10816 standard, can be easily set using DIP switches when using the Q45, or the configuration software when using the P6 or the H6. It can provide local indication when a threshold has been exceeded, it can send that signal to a central location, and it can send the vibration and temperature data to a PLC to monitor and trend over time.
