Advanced Features Add Versatility that Maximizes Uptime
Type 4 Safety Light Curtain is now Banner’s most advanced and versatile light curtain. New 360-degree status indication reduces downtime by enabling timely preventive maintenance, using multiple RGB color options to quickly alert users to a blocked light curtain, changes in operational status, and weak beam. Reduced resolution reduces nuisance trips, ideal for horizontal guarding or material feed applications, by allowing one blocked beam to be ignored at any time while retaining safety if two or more beams are blocked.
A configurable I/O pin provides an auxiliary output that communicates additional status for status mirroring and communicating light curtain status to another device. Override input also allows you to enunciate conditions such as muting or reset required. This pin can also be used for advanced IO-Link® functionality using the optional IO-Link-Enabling Adapter. IO-Link makes it easy to diagnose intermittent faults by keeping a log of the last 10 fault conditions in persistent memory. IO-Link can also provide measurement output for open box detection or pallet height, and offers advanced indication control of up to nine user-defined states for matching custom machine indicator standards.
