Power Converter
The SPS30 converts 100–240 V AC to 24 V DC, so that DC sensors, actuators, or other devices can be integrated into AC-voltage environments. Its 4-amp SPST relay allows it to switch AC or DC loads, and it has an AC input wire for remote teach or activating a job input on an actuator.
- Converts universal 100–240 V AC line voltage to 24 V DC to power DC sensors
- PNP or NPN sensor output actuates a 4-amp SPST-NO (1 Form A) electromechanical relay, depending on model
- AC to DC TEACH line teaches a sensor or acts as a job input to a touch button
- ½-in. 20UNF 5-pin dual-key quick disconnect on AC side
- 150 mm (6 in.) PVC cable with an M12 or M8 quick disconnect available, depending on model number
Application Notes
Jam Detection on a Conveyor with Only AC Power
Sensors can be used to detect conveyor jams, but sometimes conveyors use current that is incompatible with sensors. Adding a Banner SPS30 AC/DC In-Line Power Converter to a DC sensor (such as a Banner Q5X) makes the necessary voltage conversion.
