R50 Zero Pressure Accumulation Control Module

  • Compatible with any conveyor zone drive—motor roller, gear motor, air clutch, and other types—that uses a 24 V DC discrete signal to start and stop the conveyor zone 
  • Two modes 
    • Zero Pressure Accumulation mode uses sensors to create zones, maintaining gaps between products for gentle handling, mixed object sizes, and merging; selected by driving pin 4 
    • Slug Release mode ignores sensor logic, releasing all zones simultaneously to maximize throughput and quickly clear long upstream buffers; selected by driving pin 2 
  • Plug and play design saves commissioning time, requiring no configuration 
  • 5-pin M12 connectors install faster than flying leads 
  • Compact 50 mm size fits into tight spaces along conveyor frames 
  • LEDs on both sides provide quick, clear diagnostics, allowing block to be mounted in either direction 
  • Fully sealed housing enables use in a wide range of environments

Consistent Spacing

Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) Mode

In ZPA mode, each zone is operates independently to maintain gaps between products. A discrete signal from a sensor tells the first zone when to move. After the sensor is clear, the zone behind it is allowed to move. Then other upstream zones move in turn.

Constant Flow

Slug Release Mode

In Slug Release mode, zones are released simultaneously to create a continuous flow of product. A discrete signal from a sensor tells the first zone when to move and sensor zone control logic is ignored
