Challenge
Delayed communication between assembly cell operators and material handlers can slow the steady flow of part replenishment needed to maintain takt time. Missed or delayed part calls can lead to empty feeders, stoppages, and production bottlenecks.
Solution
By combining an LCA130T Andon Light Control Box with a K100 Programmable Display Beacon, each button can be assigned to trigger a specific beacon state configured in Banner’s Pro Editor software. This setup allows operators to quickly request part refills or signal support needs with predefined alerts. Each state pairs high-visibility colors with scrolling text and optional audible tones, delivering clear, 360-degree communication that reduces miscommunication and ensures material handlers know exactly what is needed and where.
