R95C 4-Port Motor Driven Roller Controller

Four-Port Plug-and-Play MDR Control with Enhanced Configurability

With multiple ports and a host of user-configurable features, the R95C 4-Port Motor Driven Roller Controller gives system designers a more flexible and efficient way to control motor driven rollers while keeping conveyors and other equipment, including Remote Safety Relay (RSR) devices, in one system. It easily integrates via IO-Link®, directly to PLCs via Modbus RTU, or through DXM gateways using common Ethernet protocols. Two configurable I/O channels per port and a 0–18 volt analog output provide precise control of both regular and high-speed MDRs across a wide range of conveyor applications.

User-configurable features such as ramp up and ramp down control, along with adjustable alerts and thresholds for voltage, current, temperature, and motor run time, give operators greater control while simplifying monitoring and troubleshooting. IO-Link models set up quickly and easily via an IO-Link master, while Modbus models can be configured either via PLC or, for a more streamlined setup, Banner’s Snap Signal® software.

A-coded M12 connectors carry signals, while L-coded M12 pass-through connections can daisy-chain up to 16 amps of motor power, simplifying installation of multiple MDR controllers on a conveyor. Its sealed housing and connectors make the R95C well suited for refrigerated, wet, and other challenging environments without an additional protective enclosure. Photoelectric sensors can also be easily integrated to create a complete conveyor control system that detects the leading edge of a package and enables zone control.
