The VSM-2 features a 4 mm diameter smooth barrel or 5 mm diameter threaded barrel for mounting in the smallest spaces. Diffused and opposed mode sensing options meet a wide variety of application requirements. The plastic PMMA lens is a durable alternative to sapphire and glass lenses.  Additionally, the PUR jacket cable is suitable for cutting fluids and oils.

The advanced optical design and increased switching frequency (1 kHz) enables improved performance and repeatability. A focused beam offers reliable presence detection even when the sensor is fully embedded within a machine. The VSM-2 features a dual color LED indicator (green and amber) for clear visualization of sensor status. The increased sensing range (opposed mode: 500 mm, diffused mode: 100 mm) provides users with greater flexibility in deployment.
