Welcome to a short how-to video that will cover the basics of setting up a K50 Pro Series Indicator from Banner Engineering.
The first step to setting up the K50 Pro is to connect it to a Windows PC using the Pro-Editor cable kit, and by following the diagram in the datasheet.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our troubleshooting guide on the Banner Pro-Editor software.
Plug the Pro-Editor cable into the USB port on your Windows PC and hit 'Connect'.
Hit 'Continue', and then under choose 'IO Status', click 'Basic'.
Different light configurations can be saved as individual states.
Basic mode gives you up to four states controlled by each input wire.
Advanced mode allows for the combination of inputs for up to 15 statuses.
For example, if you send an input signal to the black or brown wire, that creates two different states.
Sending an input signal to both wires at the same time creates a third state.
If you are using an I/O block to control the K50 Pro, you can use the I/O Block state to configure the light.
The K50 Pro has 11 customizable animations built into the software, with 14 different colors to choose from.
Here is a brief example of each animation.
To preview a certain status, click the 'Start' button.
To save the configuration to the device, click the 'Write' button.
That covers the basics of the Banner K50 Pro Series Light.
