This video demonstrates how to set up analog port mirroring with R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub.
This video demonstrates how to set up analog port mirroring with R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub from Banner Engineering.
This is a short how to video that will demonstrate how to set up analog port mirroring with R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub from Banner Engineering.
Analog mirroring is useful for providing a pass through of the signal while allowing you to collect data via the hub and IO-Link master.
For this example, we're using a laser measurement sensor with a 4 to 20 mA analog output, connected to port 5 on the hub, which will be mirrored to a multimeter connected to port 7.
We will be using the Banner IO-Link Configuration software to configure the IO-Link Master.
To set up analog mirroring, we will first ensure that the hub is set to receive the correct type of analog signal.
Navigate to the 'Vendor Specific' section and locate the line labeled 'Mode of Analog In'for the port that's receiving the input signal, which for us is port 5.
Here you can set the hub to receive a current- or voltage-based signal.
Next, open the 'Mirroring Configuration' parameters for the port to which the signal is being mirrored, which for us is port 7.
On the line labeled 'Mirroring Output Enable', select 'Enable' from the dropdown menu.
On the Mirroring Input Port' line, select the port that is receiving the input signal to be mirrored.
Click 'Write Params' to send the configuration to the devices.
That covers the basics for setting up analog port mirroring, using the R95C Hybrid IO-Link Hub and the IO-Link Configuration software.
