Q5X Background Suppression

Welcome to a short how-to video that'll cover the basics of setting up the Q5X Background Suppression configuration from Banner Engineering.

To put the sensor into background suppression mode, press and hold the 'minus' button for more than two seconds. Press the 'plus' button once and you'll see Teach 1 on the screen.

Press the middle button to select, and then toggle either the 'plus' or 'minus' button until you see BGS on the display.

Next, hold the middle button for more than two seconds to confirm the selection and return to Run mode.

To teach the sensor, press and hold the middle button for more than two seconds, and you'll see Set Off displayed on the screen.

Set the target in front and hit the middle button to teach the target condition.

The switch point will be set just in front of the top point. You can change the switch point by pressing the 'plu's or 'minus' button while in run mode.

The current switch point will appear on the display. Press and hold the 'plus' or 'minus' button until the desired switch point is reached.

If the window's center point needs to be moved, the sensor must be retaught.
