This tool is a simple five-step process to help you build out your Safety Light Curtain solution. In each step you will choose the product that is right for your application. A Connection Cable is required for each emitter and each receiver.
External device monitoring (EDM) is a means by which a safety device (such as a safety light curtain) actively monitors the state (or status) of external devices that are controlled by the safety device.
If you need EDM, select DES4-M81-D; otherwise, select DES4-M51-D. If you choose an EDM model, be sure to use an 8-pin EDM-compatible cordset.
If you’re building a cascade system with multiple pairs of S4B safety light curtains, you’ll need a Cascade Cable Kit that matches the number of pairs (emitter and receiver sets) in your setup.
Each kit includes the required host, guest, and terminal cordsets for proper connection between pairs.
