Overview
12 and 30 mm single-beam Points are reliable and economical solutions for guarding entry/exit points, perimeter guarding and other safeguarding or equipment protection applications.
- Includes 12 or 30 mm Points for use with PICO-GUARD controller and fiber optic cable in personnel safety and equipment-protection applications
- Provides compact, non-contact, easy-to-install perimeter and access guarding
- Offers choice of 12 mm threaded barrel-style of impact-resistant polycarbonate or 30 mm threaded barrel-style of 304 stainless-steel with a tempered glass lens window
- Covers ranges up to 29 m
- Models available with integral polyethylene, PVC or fluoropolymer-jacketed plastic fibers, in four lengths
- Functions as emitter or receiver, depending on installation
- Monitors one beam per optical channel for monitoring up to four beams per controller
- Eliminates electrical wires and expensive electrical wiring for easy installation
- Meets all requirements for Type 4 per IEC 61496-2 and Safety Category 4 per ISO 13849-1 applications
- Designed to ATEX, FM and CSA approval for use in explosive environments
- Has an environmental rating of IEC IP67
- Installs easily with multiple mounting bracket options
Product Specifications
| Operating Range | Information is based on use of the integral polished fibers. The use of SFA-FS Fiber Splice reduces range by 20%. Do not cut polished fiber ends unless absolutely necessary (if the end is damaged or contaminated, or must be cut to length). Use only the Model PFC-2 Fiber Cutter to cut fibers, when necessary. If a polished end is cut, the excess gain is reduced, the advantage of polishing is lost, and the operating range is reduced.
