The M-GAGE sensor uses a passive sensing technology to detect large ferrous objects. The sensor measures the change in the Earth's natural magnetic field (ambient magnetic field) caused by the introduction of a ferromagnetic object. The M-GAGE provides an alternative replacement for inductive loop systems and needs no external control box. Its unique design allows quick installation within a core hole.

  • Lost RF links are detected and relevant outputs set to user-defined conditions
  • Fully potted and sealed housing contains the power source, sensor, and antenna for a completely wireless solution
  • Includes accessories such as surface mount housing, flush mount embedded housing and possible replaceable battery packs - depending on model

To avoid damaging pavement, use Banner’s wireless M-GAGE sensor Node, which requires only a 2.5 inch diameter hole for burial installations. The sensitivity of the M-GAGE vehicle sensor can be configured to detect most passenger vehicles within range of the embedded sensor.

Previous technology required the use of an inductive loop system embedded into the ground. Installing an inductive loop system requires cutting into a large portion of asphalt or concrete. Over time these inductive loops break and must be replaced. Using a SureCross M-GAGE wireless sensor node eliminates the need for a large inductive loop. The device may be mounted above ground or below ground, requiring only a six to eight inch diameter hole. Vehicle presence is detected by an M-GAGE Node that activates the automated car wash system to power up and trigger the entry door.
