Welcome to a short how-to video that will cover the basics of setting up a TL50 Pro Select Tower Light from Banner Engineering.
The first step to setting up the TL50 Pro Select is to connect it to a Windows PC using the Pro-Editor cable kit, and by following the diagram in the datasheet.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our video on the Pro-Editor cable troubleshooting guide.
Plug the Pro-Editor cable into the USB port on your Windows PC and hit 'Connect'.
Hit 'Continue' and then click on the 'Tower Light' button.
The current configuration of each segment can be previewed on the light by pressing the 'Start' button.
The color for each segment can be manually changed to any of the 14 colors pre-loaded in the software.
To save the configuration to the device, hit 'Stop Preview' mode on all segments, and then click the 'Write' button.
Another way to change the light configuration is to click on the 'Pro ID' menu.
Select 'Enter Pro ID'. This is where any configuration of lights can be quickly changed using preset commands.
For example, since this is a three-segment TL50 tower light, we type TL50, followed by the first letter of the three colors we'd like to choose, starting from the bottom.
If you would like a green-yellow-red light, you would type TL50 followed by gyr, and then click the 'Save' icon.
Another example is for a white-blue-green light, you would type TL50wbg.
The TL50 Pro Select has multiple animations that can be configured for each segment.
The different animations are Flash, Two Color Flash, 50/50, and Intensity Sweep.
Models that include an audible alarm have multiple tones to choose from, including Steady, Pulsed, and SOS.
Each segment's intensity can be selected as 'Low', 'Medium', or 'High'.
That covers the basics of the Banner TL50 Pro Select Tower Light.
