SureCross® Wireless I/O Products

Banner Engineering's SureCross Wireless System is an industrial wireless I/O network that can operate in extreme environments and eliminate the need for costly wiring. The most basic SureCross sensor network includes a Gateway system controller and one or more Nodes that monitor and/or control I/O in remote locations.

Nodes are deployed throughout a facility for gathering sensor data. This sensor data is then transmitted back to the Gateway. Installation is fast and easy with flexible mounting and power options. Some Nodes must be powered by 10 to 30V dc, whereas FlexPower® Nodes may be powered by solar panels or battery packs, often with a multi-year battery life while also providing power for external sensors.

Refer to the 3D Models page to download AutoCAD, STEP, IGES, and PDF models. Download the DX80 Quick Start Guide or Product Manual for more information about the DX80 and Performance products.

The Introducing the SureCross Wireless Network Product Families includes a brief overview of each product group and explains how they work together.

Wireless Q45 Sensors

Wireless Q45 Sensors »

SureCross Wireless Q45 Sensors combine the best of Banner’s flexible Q45 sensor family with its reliable, field-proven, SureCross wireless architecture to solve new classes of applications. Containing a variety of sensor models, a radio, and internal battery supply, this product line is truly plug and play.

Performance Gateways

Performance Gateways »

Performance Gateways are master devices in a star topology, autonomously controlling input-to-output mapping. A Gateway may also act as a Modbus slave in a host control system using RS-485 Modbus RTU. Performance Gateways are designed to work with the Performance Nodes when transmitting at 1 Watt.

Performance Nodes

Performance Nodes »

Nodes are the slave devices within Banner's wireless I/O networks. Nodes collect data from sensors connected to their I/O points and transmit this information back to the Gateway. Performance Nodes are designed to work with the Performance Gateways when transmitting at 1 Watt.

Performance Board Modules

Performance Board (PCB) Modules »

Replace any discrete or analog signal quickly and easily using our -PB2 Gateways and Nodes. These are small wireless PCBs that have all the power and range of our Performance series, but are smaller with no local display or housing. They can be DIN rail mounted within a control panel or used as a small daughter board directly inside a sensor or transmitter.

MultiHop Radios

MultiHop Modbus Radios with I/O »

SureCross MultiHop radios are wireless industrial communication devices used to extend the range of a Modbus communication network. MultiHop radios may be configured to operate as the wireless network master, a repeater radio, or a slave radio.

Serial Data Radios

Serial Data Radios »

SureCross Serial Data Radios are wireless industrial communication devices used to extend the range of a serial communication network. Serial data radios may be configured to operate using either a star or MultiHop network topology.

Ethernet Data Radios

Ethernet Data Radios »

MultiHop Ethernet Data Radios are used to create point-to-multipoint wireless Ethernet networks. These radios offer simple, non-configurable ethernet switch operation that does not require IP address configuration.

DX80 Gateway

DX80 Gateways »

The Gateway is the master device in a star topology, autonomously controlling input-to-output mapping. A Gateway may also act as a Modbus slave in a host control system using RS-485 Modbus RTU.

DX80 Nodes

DX80 Nodes »

Nodes are the slave devices within Banner's wireless I/O networks. Nodes collect data from sensors connected to their I/O points and transmit this information back to the Gateway. Nodes may be powered by either 10 to 30V dc or by battery supply module. These Nodes come in a variety of input/output options.

Intrinsically Safe Devices

DX99 Intrinsically Safe FlexPower Nodes »

Certain models of FlexPower Nodes are available for locations requiring intrinsically safe (Class I, Division 1/Zone 0) devices.

DX70 Devices

DX70 Point to Point Systems »

This factory configured Gateway and Node pair with direct I/O mapping offers plug-and-play installation.

DX80 Configured Kits

DX80 Configured Kits »

Configured kits contain one Gateway and one or more Nodes. The inputs and outputs of these devices are mapped and configured at the factory, simplifying setup and installation.

Legacy Products »
