包装の高温接着剤の検出
バナーのT-GAGE M18T温度センサはホットシールの検証に最適です。このセンサは対象物から放出される赤外線エネルギーを検出し、0⁰C～300⁰Cまでの温度を測定します。この用途では、折ぶたに高温の接着剤があるかどうかをT-GAGE M18T温度センサによって検出します。接着剤があれば、その包装は製造ラインをそのまま進んでいきます。接着剤がない場合は、押し出しアームをトリガする出力によってその箱はコンベヤから落とされ、選別されます。

温度センサでデフロスターの電熱線を検出 [成功事例]
ある自動車メーカーで、デフロスターのグリッド線に欠陥があるとして、出荷されたリアウィンドウ製品が不合格になりました。そのウィンドウメーカーではデフロスターシステム全体での消費電流を測定して全体的な欠陥を検出する検査が行われていましたが、この方法では破損した1本の電熱線によるわずかな影響を検出することはできません。そこでこのウィンドウメーカーはミシガン州にあるオートメーション企業とパートナー提携して、それぞれの電熱線が仕様の温度まで加熱することを出荷前に確認できる検査設備を作りました。
水ポンプステーションのステータスの通信
非常に強い光を生成するEZ-LIGHT昼光可視インジケータは、18個のLEDを同時に作動、または6個ずつ3つのグループに分けて照明レベルの明暗度を制御することができるので、屋外環境で明確な通信を必要とするアプリケーションに最適です。オプションのサンシールドで可視性を高めることにより、日光の強い環境でも効果的です。
食品調理での高温部の検出
グリドルが使用できる状態であることを確かめるため、調理面に向けられた非接触型のT-GAGE M18T温度センサによって、表面の温度が周囲温度より高いかどうかを検出します。ワッフルプレートが高温であると、生地が流し込まれて工程が続行します。プレートの温度が十分でないと、T-GAGE温度センサの出力で生地注入機構がトリガされず、プレートはさらに加熱されます。
モーターの温度監視とワイヤレスネットワークによる管理
I/Oケーブルを敷設する代わりに、10～30V DC電源のSureCrossノードとバナー製T-GAGE温度センサを使用します。ホスト制御システムを使用すると、SureCrossゲートウェイはセンサに設定されている温度セットポイントに関連してデジタル出力でプラント制御室に温度データを送信します。その温度に基づいてモーターの電源が落とされるか、あるいは電源が投入されます。ワイヤレスマスター装置としてGateway Proを使用する場合は、データのロギングが可能であるほか、モーターの動作状態を表す数値が設定値を超えたときに保守作業員にアラートを送信することができます。
