This is a short how-to video that will cover the basics of the 3-state mode for the K50 Pro Touch Button from Banner Engineering.
The first step is to connect the K50 Pro Touch to a Windows PC using the Pro-Editor cable kit and by following the diagram in the Pro-Editor datasheet.
If you're having trouble connecting, check out our troubleshooting guide on the Banner Pro-Editor Software.
Plug the Pro-Editor cable into a USB port on your Windows PC and click 'Connect'.
Click continue and then select 'Three State Advanced Control' from the Device Logic Mode dropdown menu.
The 3-state mode controls the light using two inputs via the white and gray wires; or pins 2 and 5 on the five-pin models; and via the green and red wires, or pins 3 and 8 on the eight-pin models.
The K50 Pro Touch has seven customizable animations with 14 color options.
To preview an animation, click the 'Start' button.
All models of the K50 Pro Touch provide a discreet output when the touch button is activated.
The output is sent via the black wire or pin 4 on the five-pin models; and the white wire or pin 1 on the eight-pin models.
Additional control options for the output signal include selecting momentary or latching touch activation, and selecting whether the output is normally open or normally closed.
You can also change one of the available input wires to provide a secondary output via the 'White Wire Functionality' or 'Gray Wire Functionality' dropdown menus.
To write the configuration to the device, click the 'Write' button.
That covers the basics for setting up the three state mode for the K50 Pro Touch Button.
